Lauren and marco at the Madison Hotel

This past september I created a painting live at the wedding of Lauren and Marco,  at the Madison Hotel, Morristown, NJ.
Lauren is a celebrity make-up artist (http://www.rosinabella.com/) who often works with wedding guru David Tutera on his hit show "My Fair Wedding". Needless to say, she knew exactly what she wanted for her own big day. The ballroom at the Madison Hotel  was elegant and regal and Lauren was a breathtaking bride. The couple opted for very simple centerpieces, alternating between hydrangeas and submerged cala lilies in tall cylandrical vases. Lauren also had a bottle of wine on the table in front of each guest, which doubled as their party favor.
The groom's two brothers gave fabulous speaches durring the reception, and I felt as though I really knew them as a couple by the end of the evening. This wedding was really about the two of them and their love for eachother; often couples loose sight of this durring the planning, but not Lauren and Marco. Therefore, the one instruction Lauren  gave to me was that she wanted only her and her groom in the painting, and that I should capture them durring their first dance. Since the bride was no stranger to details, I was actually a bit nervous about her reaction to the outcome of the painting. I loved it, but would she? The answer was yes. She was thrilled and the couple couldn't have been more gracious hosts to all of their guests and vendors. What a class act!

wedding at Oheka Castle

This painting was done from photos of a gorgeous wedding at Oheka Castle, Huntington, Long Island. The centerpieces were stunning and the grrom who commissioned the painting could not have been happier with his wedding gift to his new bride. ( I was already booked painting live at another wedding so I could not be there to create this wedding painting onsite. Therefore, he sent me photos and wound up with a stunning heirloom to be cherished by generations to come.

Wedding at One Atlantic

New Jersey's hottest new event venue is One Atlantic, Atlantic City, NJ. Located right on the atlantic City boardwalk, this venue is modern with floor to ceiling windows. The bride wore a stunning lazaro gown with a funky feather in her hair. This picture was actually painted from the photos below taken by fabulous photographer Marie Labbancz of Art of Love photography.

Wedding at the Palace

This is a painting I did live at the Palace in Sommerset park, NJ. The Palace has been featured on We tv's Platinum Weddings, and on My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. The palace is one of the most regal and magical venues in NJ. This was a fairly small wedding (only about 75 guests). I captured the bride and groom durring their first dance.

Wedding at the Imperia

Monica and Carl were a fabulous couple to work with. It was a second wedding for both the bride and groom, however Monica planned this day for two years and left no detail out. The wedding was at a beautiful catering hall in Sommerset ,New Jersey called the Imperia. Monica has one daughter, and carl has two daughters and two sons. The brides main request was that I capture all of their children in the painting. All three daughters were bridemaids and wore different blue dresses. The wedding's colors were turquise blue and chocolate brown. The centerpieces had beautiful arrangements of blue hydrangeas, white orchids, branches, and something I'd never seen before: golden-brown cala lilies.
This is me with the finished painting

About a month ago a mother of the bride commissioned me to paint live at her daughters wedding. When I arrived, and the bride realized why I was there, she was thrilled. The location was Temple B'nai Tikvah, North Brunswick, NJ. The wedding's theme was fall. There were tiny pumpkins on the tables, and the centerpieces were shades of aubergine, burnt orange, deep yellow, and touches of sienna.

Durring the cocktail hour I grabbed the bride and groom for a minute to take a picture. I asked them to pretend they were having there actual first dance
This is the mother of the bride thrilled with her likeness in the wedding painting

Maya's Bat mitzvah

This past September I was hired to paint live and capture the scene of a bat mitzvah in a painting. This happened to be the most amazing Bat Mitzvah I'd ever seen. This party was a true feast for all senses. The Bat Mitzvah girl and her family were fun, gracious, and really knew how to have a good time. In the center is the Bat Mitzvah girl's mom. I really tried tocapture her beatiful gown with black lace and a flesh-tone underlay. The party took place at one of my favorite venues- Temple B'nai Tikvah of North Brunswick, NJ. The caterer there is Classical caterers, and they are fabulous. The most amazing part of the whole party is that there were 325 guests, and 123 were 13 year olds. The dance floor was absolutely packed, thanks to Greg of Pure Energy entertainment.

November wedding at Bonnet Island Estate

The Bonnet Island Estate in Long Beach Island, New Jersey was the venue for this beautiful wedding. Located about 30 minutes from Atlantic City, this is a unique venue with a real Martha's Vineyard feel. The Bonnet Island estate was recently featured on Platinum Weddings, and the guy from American Chopper got married there this past year. I captured the bride and groom's first dance ( not an easy thing being that there were 200 guests in a ballroom that holds 125 ).

About a month prior to this beautiful summer wedding at B'nai Tikvah, in North Brunswick, NJ, the groom called me wanting to surprise his bride. This grrom owns a party planning showcase business called Next Event Party Showcase. He said that he and his bride-to-be  had seen my work and loved it, and he knew having me paint their wedding reception would be a perfect surprise and a unique wedding gift to his new wife.Needless to say, the bride was speechless, and guests absolutely loved to watch as the painting unfolded. This was a beautiful wedding, and the icing on the cake for me is that B'nai Tikvah is one of my favorite NJ wedding venues and its all because I love their food! I'm posting a link to their caterer below.

An amazing wedding at Temple Emanu-el in Closter, NJ. My true goal for this painting was to capture the mood, magic, and energy of this wedding. This was an amazing party. I was completely blown away by the band called "Soul Solutions". Durring the wedding a guest told me this band performed at paul McCartney's wedding to Heather Mills, and for Billy Joel's nuptuals to Katie Lee (hopefully this couple's marriage lasts longer). The entire room was draped in fabric with uplighting. The centerpieces were very large with cream colored roses and hydrangeas. Crystals hung everywhere finishing off the lux feeling of the entire NJ wedding.
